A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
I May Be Back Today was a very good day for me when it comes to my Water Wars scriptwriting project. At least the handwriting part of it. Unfortunately, I still have to transcribe that handwriting to my laptop. So, it’s a big win and a big loss too. I consider it more of a big win, though. After all, I have close to four scripts written for this project. all of them have been handwritten. And I still haven’t transcribed them to my laptop. Actually, that’s not completely true. I haven’t transcribed anything yet. But I’m not going to do that anyway. After all, in order to do that, I’m going to be doing that the hard way. I’m not going to be doing that the hard way. It’s not much easier this way. But it is still easier. What I’m trying to refer to is scanning. I’m going to be scanning my handwriting into my laptop. And from those scans I’m going to be transcribing these Outlines and scripts into my laptop. The top half of my screen will be the scanned handwriting, and the bottom half I will transcribe the scans into my Word Documents. At least that’s what I’m hoping to do. I have done some testing. And it looks like I may be able to do it that way. But I’m not going to count on that until it starts happening. Hopefully, that will be soon. I’m hoping to start doing that scanning in the next couple of weeks during my days off from work. I can do it while I’m working most of the week. But I probably won’t be doing that. It’s not a guarantee I’m going to be doing it on my days off either, but it’s better than during a work week. Whether get to the scanning at the end of this month or not, it doesn’t really matter right now. What does matter is how well I’m doing with my scriptwriting. And if today is any indication, I’m doing great. After all, I got eleven scenes written earlier today at work and thirty-eight single paragraphs. Including three Establishing Shots. That’s right, I finished writing Act Two of the second episode, Not Hiding in Darkness, earlier today at work. In fact, I got it done in the first two hours of my shift. Which is writing a lot considering I didn’t get started on this script until about forty-five minutes into my shift. When I got to work today, there was a little bit of work I needed to get done before I could start my writing. And unfortunately, that took around forty-five minutes to complete. So, I only had just over an hour to finish writing four scenes and thirteen single paragraphs. It wasn’t easy. But that how many I got before my first round. For the remainer of my shift earlier today at work, I worked on Act Three. Including the three Establishing Shots and the twenty-two single paragraphs, I got another seven scenes written for a total of eleven scenes. That’s why my blog title is ‘I May Be Back’ because I may be. |
