Three and Six

I did three sections/parts today on my WDC Short Story for this month. That’s about six hundred words. That also means I only have six more parts/sections left to do before I finish writing this Short Story. it also means that I have around twelve hundred words left too.

Will I get those twelve hundred words done tomorrow? I doubt that. Even if I went cold turkey, I probably won’t be able to do that many. Eight hundred to a thousand words maybe, but not twelve hundred. The only possible way I could do that would be to go cold turkey.

What does ‘cold turkey’ mean? For me, it means that I would have to go all day tomorrow without watching any movies or television. I have done that before. But they were done because I had no choice. It was either that or not getting them finished in time. That isn’t the problem this month.

It could become a problem. But I don’t think that it will this month. After all, I have seven more days off to finish writing this WDC Short Story. Only I don’t plan on waiting until the last second to finish it. I’m still hoping that I can finish it by the end of next Wednesday.

If I get another two or three sections/parts written tomorrow, then I should get it done by next Wednesday. As far as I know, my brother and I don’t have to do anything tomorrow either. If that’s true, then I may be able to get at least two of them written. Hopefully, it will be three.

Let’s say I’m lucky again tomorrow and get three parts/sections left to finish during my next three days off from work. That will only leave three more sections/parts left to finish next Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. I doubt I could get them done on Monday.

I could get one done next Monday. But I’m not going to count on that happening until it does. After all, my brother and I do have some things that need to be done next Monday. It depends on how long that take to do. So, I may have time to get one part/section written.

Then again, I may not get even that one done. That has happened before. It could happen again. Hopefully, I will get at least one section/part written next Monday. If that’s true, then I will only have two left for next Tuesday to finish writing this Short Story.

Of course, the above scenario depends on how many parts/sections I get written tomorrow before I go back to work tomorrow night at midnight for a Thursday morning shift. Hopefully, I will get another three written. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens.
