Kentucky Fried Chicken...Is it gone?

Back in the day, I'd walk down the hill to buy some Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Lately, that's not happening...
I drove over to a Kentucky Fried Chicken and made an order through the drive through speaker.
I met a person when I drove up to get my chicken...

It was an afterthought to check my chicken in the parking lot.
The three pieces of chicken were soggy.
I asked for a thigh and two drumsticks...
One of the drumsticks was broken!

I was ashen!
I had to wait in the lobby line...
I showed my soggy chicken to the store manager.
She apologized and threw my chicken into the trash.

She gave me a bucket of fresh chicken and two mashed potatoes with gravy.
I was shocked and grateful...
She looked tired and said, "That chicken was kept too long."
I smiled and walked proudly to my Windstar van.

What is becoming of Kentucky Fried Chicken?
