Peace

Just like 'birds' can mean ducks, chicks or geese
So any colour can evoke peace.
'Peace' is a mix of many a hue
'Peace', to any shade, stays true.

Peace is for all, and all must get it
If some don't have peace then all regret it.
Peace is needed by business folk and artists
A lack of peace breaks the heart - it's

Peace that helps sportsmen to play
And workers to go to office each day
It's peace that helps musicians compose
And gardeners trim hedges, or grow a red rose.

It's peace that lets children go each day to school
Or, in the afternoon, have a dip in the pool.
It's peace that lets everyone do their shopping
It's peace that lets kangaroos keep hopping

What I'm saying, is, stand up for peace
Whether you're an aunt or an uncle, a nephew or niece
I'll say it once and I shall say it some more
Peace is something worth fighting for.
