Zombies
Zombies
wandering the office
with vacant eyes
and dull expressions,
shuffling
from desk to photocopier.
No one's at home
behind the distant gaze
and incoherent mumbles.
Productivity
has flatlined.
An internal ache
only appeased
by life-giving liquid
consumed in desperate gulps
and sips.
Only time will tell
if life can return
to these faint facsimiles
of businessmen and women.
