Is it right or wrong for a Christian to participate in Halloween celebrations?


OK, ok! I let my kids celebrate Trick or Treat at family and friends' houses. Or if the church was having a Trunk or Treat, I would let them go there. (I still cannot believe all of the shenanigans with razors in fruit, etc. )
I am not a great proponent of Halloween, other than a chance for people to dress up and let off a little steam. Unfortunately, there are some not so friendly connotations with this holiday, and a definite anti-Christian sentiment. That, I do not celebrate!

There are those who do not celebrate Halloween, and that is their choice. When I did, it wasn't because I was celebrating, as much as having fun...I'm sure there are those who would disagree. I don't celebrate much anymore, as my kids are grown, but I'm not above having a few candy bars handy for those who knock on my door.
