Maybe Sixty-Five

What’s up with this blog title? It means that I got sixty-four single paragraphs written earlier today at work, but it may be sixty-five depending on my line/second numbering. What I mean by my numbering is that each scene has either thirteen, fifteen, or nineteen lines/seconds per scene.

I’m not sure which line/second number it was, but I think it was a scene twos, fours, sevens, or nines, and they are thirteen lines/seconds long. The only way I could keep whichever scene number it was to take away the (beat). If there’s a one less number in the first paragraph, then I will be adding the (Beat) back.

If I add the (beat) back, then there will be three single paragraphs for that scene instead of two. That’s why my blog title says ‘maybe sixty-five’ because of this extra (beat) that I may be adding to this script when I transcribe it from my handwriting to my laptop.

Because of that two single paragraph scene my total for today should have been sixty-three instead of sixty-four. The only reason that it isn’t way the last scene that I wrote earlier today was a five single paragraphs instead of four that it usually is. If I hadn’t written that fifth paragraph, it would have been sixty-three right now.

Overall, I did very good earlier today with my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I usually average about ten scenes per weekday and twenty for the weekend. Sometimes it’s one or two more or less, but it’s usually ten or twenty. Today it was twenty, but it was almost twenty-one.

I had about fifteen minutes to do another scene earlier today at work, but I didn’t think that I could get another three single paragraphs written in that timeframe. It usually only takes about five minutes per single paragraph, but it can take a little bit longer sometimes. These three probably would have been like that.

So, I decided not to take the chance. Besides, sixty-four and twenty is a very good day of writing. At least it is for me. Of course, I would like it to be a little bit more than that, but this is still very good. I just hope I can do as good tomorrow as I did today. If not a little better.

With what I have done today, that means I only have thirty scenes left to write to end this first episode for my Water Wars television series. That’s about ninety-nine single paragraphs left to write. I would like to get that many done tomorrow, but I know that I won’t. if I’m lucky, I may get another sixty-seven and twenty done.
