There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

I Panicked for Nothing
I Panicked for Nothing

When I got up this morning, I got my laptop to continue working on my WDC Short Story for this month. I don’t know why, but my laptop crashed again. What did I do, I panicked. Thought that I was going to need to start this Short Story all over again.

I knew that I could bring back most of what I had lost because of my flash drive backup, but I couldn’t bring it all back. After all, I hadn’t backed up my files for a couple of months at least. That included about a half dozen short stories. If not a little bit more than that.

Meant to back it up on a weekly basis, but I kept telling myself that wasn’t necessary. That my laptop was slow, but it was still working okay. Now I know the hard way, I should have stayed with my original weekly update. Hopefully, it’s not too late for me starting it now.

While I was copying my files and folders from my flash drive to my laptop, I realized a couple of things. One thing was that my laptop was part of The Cloud. I still don’t like The Cloud, but I figured this time I was glad that I had it.

The second thing was that I write all my scriptwriting, short stories, etc. in Word and Microsoft 365. So, I didn’t lose my WDC Short Story for this month after all. All I needed to do was to get the App and sign-in to it. There it was. My latest WDC Short Story.

It took me some time to get started on my WDC Short Story today, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought that it was. If I had to start it all over again from scratch, I probably wouldn’t have gotten it done this month. Luckily, I figured out what was happening before it was too late.

Luckily, for me it didn’t take me too long to get the next four sections/parts written for this WDC Short Story. After all, I didn’t get to started working on it until the middle of the afternoon today. If it had taken any long, I would have gotten that many done today.

With only four more parts/sections left to finish writing this WDC Short story, I should be able to finish writing it tomorrow. At least I should be able to do it if nothing goes wrong in my life to stop me from getting too much writing done. If not getting any writing done at all.

As far as I know my brother and I don’t have anything that we need to get done tomorrow. If that’s true, then I should be able to get this WDC Short Story done tomorrow. I’m just not sure if I will be able to get it done soon enough to create it on WDC.
