Gentle Moments

Gentle moments, peaceful rest,
times to be alone in thought.
Find in Christ His settled nest.
At His Feet be helped and taught.

Many are th'unnerving things
of earthly life, that we must bear.
Blessed Word, that says He sings,
'moving self-hope, shoulders care.

Sip your tea as crickets best
fiddle hindmost legs in tune.
Listen to Creation blest
from Christ's Birth 'til He comes soon.

Gentle moments will be more
when His Story is complete.
Greatest Hope's in Him in store
when at Supper we do eat.
