There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories. |
Misunderstood Classic Horror Villains The WDC prompt for this month finally came out a few hours ago, and it’s the prompt for the ‘What a Character’ Short Story contest I thought it would be. It’s also the theme of Halloween I also thought it would be. Well, it’s not exactly a Halloween theme, but it does relate to Halloween, aka werewolves, vampires, etc. It also isn’t the classic horror misunderstood villain from Earth either. The best classic horror misunderstood villain in the universe is a DeathBringer. That’s the classic horror misunderstood villain is to me. I know I’m going to probably be disqualified from this contest because it’s not a vampire, werewolf, etc. I’m going to write it anyway. Even if I’m not disqualified, I’m sure I won’t win this contest for the same reason. It’s not about a vampire, werewolf, etc. It is about a misunderstood classic horror villain, but it’s not from Earth. At least not yet. So, it won’t be recognized as one. Of course, it should be recognized as one. I know it won’t be, though. After all, we are the only planet in the universe that supports life. If there are any other planets that support life, they only exist to destroy us or take us over. That’s not true in so many ways. This contest wants a classic horror villain who is misunderstood. A DeathBringer is the most classic horror villain that there is. That’s why I’m going to be writing a Short Story about them. The title for this Short Story is ‘SpaceHorrors: “Misunderstood,”’ and the title description for this title is related to that title. The title description for this Short Story is ‘DeathBringers were created to kill. They only kill now because of that creation.’ It’s the condensed version of how they were created to kill because of the two-thousand-word limitation, but it’s not exactly the condensed version either. After all, it’s told from the POV of a learning lesson. No, it’s not a learning lesson from Earth. My Science Faction, I mean science Fiction, short stories are about Earth in any way. There are plenty of writers who write about Earth. I only write about the rest of the universe. The only thing that is Earth-related is the WDC prompt. To promote my next scriptwriting project I’m hopefully will be starting shortly, I’m writing these short stories, novels, etc. This is my latest Short Story that I’m writing for this anthology series. Whether it’s considered a qualified entry or not, I’m writing it. |
