Jots and Tittles and other Random Things

Marbles rolling around this morning - 9/14/2023

I do this from time to time. I stop and think about life and how caught up in it I get. Then the spiritual side wakes up within me and says "What about me?" I am grateful for the blogging forum "Take Up Your Cross" here in the community. It gives me pause in my running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Pause to think about the life "after" this one. And I do believe in a life after this. Last year, when I got really sick, I came pretty close to meeting that side of eternity, but for some reason, God only knows, I am still here. There were others who had the same affliction I had that did not survive. I am assuming His work in me is not yet done, so I must be about my Father's business. Sharing my faith, and storing up myself against that day. I don't knock anyone else's beliefs, that is not my job. My job is to share the Good News and let God manage the results.

Anyway, this little poem came to mind:

Be ready! You know not the day or hour.
Be ready! When our Lord comes in power.
Be ready! We need to sow the Light.
Be ready! He'll come as a thief in the night.

Be ready! Prepare your hearts.
Be ready! Please do your part.
Be ready! The scripture states;
Be ready! Store up your faith.
