Do you believe in the rapture? Do you think it will happen before, during, or after the tribulation? Why?



I Thessalonians 4:13-18:

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.


My teaching on the Rapture has come from these scriptures in the Bible. And there has been a book series and movie series based upon these scriptures and the scriptures from Revelation relating to the end times. The name of both series is called "Left Behind". The books were by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins. The original movies came out in 2000 and there was a reboot in 2014.

I have no reason not to believe in these upcoming events. I've heard that there are three different views of when this event (the rapture) will occur. I personally believe that the rapture will happen before the 7 years of tribulation, and then there will be a 1000 year reign of Christ, and then the Final Judgment. I sincerely hope that this is the case. But regardless of when it happens, we are to be like the five wise virgins from Matthew 25:1-13 Always be ready because you don't know when the Bridegroom shall come. (verse 13)
