Underwater - Week 6
Stormy afternoon
the darkness is thick and damp.
Grey clouds wrapped in a leaden blanket,
their burden grows weighty
so they can no longer travel
westward to dryer skies.
The winds refuse to relieve them.
No gusts to push them inland, they hang
motionless overhead, pregnant with oceans
until the moment comes
and the heavens ignite.
The veil is rent.
An ocean pours out from above.
and we are underwater.
