20230902 Father's Day!

Well, tomorrow marks Father's Day in Australia. I am traveling for a couple of hours to spend some time with my kids, then a couple of hours back home. I was going to arrange to spend the night somewhere, but there did not seem to be any point. It's not like I can see my kids on Monday, with one at school and the other having an early start at university, so I'll just drive to my lonely real life...

Anyway, what has this got to do with writing?

My daughter wants to be my beta reader again! She's asked if I've written any new young adult stories and so I will talk to her about it tomorrow and send them her way once I get back to reality. That is quite a relief; she's been worried about it interfering with her school work, but she's not worried about that now. I know why she's not worried, and it is very cool.

So... I have a beta reader for the YA works! Now to find one for the adult stuff...
