Finally Two Prompts

It’s been a long time since I’ve written a blog entry for this blog. It seems like it has been a very long time since I’ve done a blog for this blog, but it hasn’t been that long. That’s because I haven’t had a Short Story prompt for either one of the two contests that I normally write a Short Story. One is because it wasn’t a Short Story last month.

The other contest was because there hasn’t been a prompt for that contest in the last two months. I was starting to think that this contest wasn’t around anymore. At least not for me. I’m still not sure if that is true or not, but it’s starting to look like I was wrong about that. I hope I was.

For whatever reason, I have two Short Story prompts for this month, and twelve days to write them. That’s four weeks times three days off. That is also two weeks and six days for each one. Six days each. I should be able to get both of these short stories done in that length of time.

Of course, I have thought that way before, and it hasn’t turned out that way. Hopefully, it will this time. After all, both of these short stories are the same. Yet, they are both different too. The theme is the same for both of them aka SpaceHorrors, but they are different short stories. What am I trying to write here? It’s because both short stories are part of an anthology series.

My next scriptwriting project is for a Horror/Scary anthology series. I haven’t started working on it yet, but when I do it won’t just be a scriptwriting project. it will also include short stories, poems, novels, etc. I’m just jumping the gun with a few short stories so far. I have already written one SpaceHorrors Short Story. With these two it will be three so far.

Speaking of these short stories this month, I have already started working on them. The WDC Short Story prompt was an image this month. I got it a few days ago. It didn’t take me too long before I remembered a Short Story to fill this prompt. Just didn’t get started on it until today.

My second Short Story prompt I didn’t get until yesterday. So, it didn’t take me as long to come up with another SpaceHorrors Short Story that fit that prompt. Maybe it’s because I was planning on doing another SpaceHorrors Short Story this month if I got the second prompt. Then again, maybe it wasn’t.

I think that I was remembering other short stories for my WDC Short Story entry for this month. that’s why I remembered my second one so quickly. Whatever the reason was, I’m working on two short stories this month, and I have already started on the WDC Short Story. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten too far on it yet. Just the planning of it and the first section/part.
