Up and Away

Up and Away

Oh, Christina, what is this you have designed?
Eleven syllables for eleven lines,
but not forgetting those pesky rhymes to find,
and now add uplifting subject like fine wines,
though, being me, something else might come to mind;
inflation, strikes me, could expand these confines.

I could fill this ditty until it billows;
with hot air it becomes as soft as pillows.

We both could watch as it flies above our heads,
and rides the wind to other places instead,
but I fear the landing we must take as read.
