Time is Running Out for Me

Unfortunately, it has been a very typical first day off from work aka a Monday. From early this morning until almost the end of today, I have been very busy doing one thing or another. It has been so busy, that this is the first chance to get on my laptop. What does that mean for my WDC Short Story for this month? Unfortunately, it means I haven’t gotten any writing done on it.

That means I still have seven sections/parts to write on this Short Story. It also means that I’m running out of time to finish it before the end of this month. After all, I now have five more days to finish it. That doesn’t include the second Short Story I wanted to write this month. The way it looks I’m not going to be able to do that one too.

There is only one way I may be able to do both this month, but I don’t want to do it. I may have no choice. Especially, if I want to do both. What am I writing about? it’s about writing one or both of these short stories at work. I don’t want to do that, but it’s the only way that I may get both of these short stories written this month.

At least I don’t have to worry about a third Short Story this month. I still haven’t gotten a prompt for it. So, it looks like there isn’t going to be a Short Story for this contest this month. unless there is one, but I’m not invited to write for this contest either. It has happened before. I have been banned from writing short stories because I write the truth.

I’m hoping that isn’t why there’s no prompt this month from this contest. It might not be. After all, the host of it has taken a month or two off for one reason or another before. Hopefully, that is what they have done this month. Of course, the last time they did it; they left a message on the Forum about it. There is no message on there this month.

Whatever the reason why there is no third Short Story this month, doesn’t matter that much. What does matter are the two short stories that I’m writing for this month. Especially, my WDC Short Story. That’s the most important one. If I don’t get to my second one, it’s not as important. Even though, it’s kind of important because of what it’s about.

Since my second Short Story is related to a future scriptwriting project, doing it at work isn’t as far-stretched as it may sound. So, if I can get the WDC Short Story finished in the next couple of days, I could write my second one at work. I would still rather not do it this way, but if I want to get them both written this month, I may have to do it this way.
