A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
About Four Per Hour A little bit of a hiccup at work earlier today that did affect my writing some. It wasn’t that bad of a hiccup. True, it took about an hour away from my writing, but it could have been a whole lot worse. How can that be? It could have been two hours or more instead of one. How did that affect my writing? Normally, I have been getting about twenty-two single paragraphs on a weekday for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Earlier today I barely got twenty. That’s how it affected my writing. Only two fewer isn’t that bad, though. That is why I also wrote above it wasn’t much of a hiccup. It's true, I did only get twenty single paragraphs written for Episode Two, Not Hiding in Darkness, but all of them were numeric scene single paragraphs. at least sort of they were. I did have two Establishing Shots that were Establishing Shots. The last time I did this it was for a flashback. This time it was for a sort of flashforward of what may happen. Does that make any sense to you? It’s kind of confusing to me, and I’m the one writing it. I’m going to try to explain it, but I don’t know if I can. It isn’t that hard to explain, but the way I’m doing it, it may be. In numeric scene twenty-five Kiirra can stop thinking about the Surface Location where Weemi wants to go to when she leaves their InWaterStructure. That location is very bad. There is almost constant conflict there. Several hundred Poulasks are dead, dying, or about to die every sunrise and sunset. That is what Kiirra can’t stop thinking about. As a result, this is a three-part scene. The first and third take place on their InWaterStructure, and the middle one takes place at this Surface Location. Kiirra is watching all the death and dying. That’s what this numeric scene is all about. Does that explain why I wrote twenty single paragraphs earlier today at work, but only eighteen of them were numeric scenes? After re-reading the above paragraphs for the millionth time, it makes scene to me. I would ask, ‘What do you think?’ but no one reads this blog. So, I’m not going to do it. Hopefully, I can do a little bit better tomorrow. I usually do it on a Friday. It’s usually a little bit better than Thursday. Not much better, but better. One to five extra single paragraphs are what I’m writing about. hopefully, it will be closer to five than it is to one. It should be, but I never know. If I remember right, I have nine more numeric single paragraphs to write to finish Act Two of this episode. Once I get them done, I will start on Act Three. So, in order to get about twenty-five single paragraphs written tomorrow, I will need around ten to fourteen tomorrow. That includes two Establishing Shots. It can be done. Especially on a Friday. a lot of it depends on what I need to do at work. If it’s a typical Friday, I have a very good chance of getting that many single paragraphs written. It all depends on what needs to be done at work. That’s why I’m not going to count on anything until it happens. |
