Only One So Far This Month

Last month, I had three short stories that I was writing to write in May. This month I only have one Short Story to write. True, it’s early in the month. So, I still have plenty of time to get a prompt for at least one more Short Story. It could be two or more. Depending on which contests I enter.

Usually, it’s just the two contests that I enter. Last month it was three, but it was kind of like two still. What does that mean? It means that the second two short stories weren’t related, but in a way, they were because the same host was the host for both of them. Does that make any sense to you? It’s kind of confusing to me, and I’m writing it.

It's not just the first contest from last month that I’m talking about. True, it was the third Short Story for last month, but I don’t think it will be for this month. It will probably be two or three more months before that third one comes back again. The third one for this month will be from another contest. That’s if I decide to write it. I’m thinking about it because it’s related to an anthology series I’m working on too.

That’s enough about my future. Now it’s time to write about my present aka the only Short Story I know I’m going to write this month. The Short Story for the WDC contest this month is a quotation. I was going to write another Science Faction, I mean Science Fiction, Short Story, but I decided not to do it this month for several reasons.

One reason is my last several billion short stories have been Science Faction, I mean Science Fiction. I need to get away from that every so often. This is a good time to do that. Especially, since my Secondary Account is coming up for renewal in a couple of months. I know that I’m not going to win these contests either because I never do, but I need to try to do it. Besides, you can’t win them if you don’t enter them.

I know that I can win with either my Primary Account like this one, or with my Secondary Account. All I need to do is transfer some Gift Points into the other account if I need to do it. Of course, that means I need to win these contests, and I know that will never happen because I’m either weird, crazy, or both when it comes to my writing. Never said I wasn’t weird or crazy.

Unfortunately, today has been a very typical first day off from work aka a Monday. I haven’t had too much time to do any writing. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve had a little bit of time. Just not that much of it. So far, all I have had time to do with this WDC Short Story is the planning part of it.
