Sweet childhood memories

An endless stretch of canvas
painted a deep, abiding blue.
Garnished with puffs of wispy fluff
to add balance, and whimsy too.

A bed of dandelion and püha,
a faint white noise of rustling leaves.
Infectious laughter, secrets shared,
the magic this day weaves.

A lichen-covered fence post,
a perfect rustic seat.
Melodies sung to bored bovines,
makes a childhood memory sweet.
