Is it a sin for a Christian to be depressed or to worry?

Some would say that it is a sin to worry or be depressed. I used to think so. I feel now that it is just part of the human condition. I think that we as Christians should not judge those that struggle, but rather to pray and encourage those who suffer. And not in a "self-righteous" tone, but one of compassion - mirroring the same compassion that Christ had for those around Him.

I believe Christians have an extra weapon in their arsenal - that of prayer and faith that God will work things out in His timing. We as people of faith are still in the world, but we are not to despair as ones who have no hope. Things happen, and we still have to live in this world with all of the "stuff" around us. We are to be in the world, but not OF the world. We are to be compassionate and believe.
