Probably It Will Happen at Work

After what didn’t happen today when it comes to my second Short Story for this month, I will probably need to finish it this Thursday morning at work. I’m still hoping that I can get it finished before then, but after today it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.

It still may happen, though. It’s not as bad as it looks right now. I’m only two sections/parts away from where I need it to be to finish writing this Short Story. What do I mean by that? It means that most of my short stories are ten parts/sections long. They have been a little short. I believe even one was only three sections/parts. Most were five to ten.

This one isn’t one of those. The last one that I finished a few days ago was eleven. That’s very unusual for me, but this one is even more. It’s fifteen parts/sections more. Why is it that way? It’s because there are fifteen months a year on Cacith. Each section/part represents one month. Unfortunately, that’s also one of the reasons I haven’t written more today.

What is the usual reason why I don’t get more writing done at home? That’s right. It’s because of what my brother and I needed to do today. Unfortunately, that’s what happened today with me. It started very early this morning, and it didn’t end until a few hours ago. As a result, I haven’t had too much time to write.

Don’t get me wrong. I have gotten some writing done on this Short Story. It has only been three parts/sections so far. That’s why I have written above that I only am off by two. With three days off from work, I only need to write five sections/parts per day. I have already done three. That leaves only two parts/sections.

There is only one way that I may get it finished before I go back to work, and that’s if I can get a major part of it done tomorrow. If I can get about ten done tomorrow, then I may be able to get it finished by Wednesday evening before I go back to work. The way it has gone today, I’m not going to count on that happening until it does for a couple of reasons.

As far as I know, my brother has something he needs to do tomorrow morning. I don’t think we do, though. It wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong about that, and I’m sure it won’t be the last, but I don’t think that my brother and I have anything that we need to do tomorrow. That’s one of the reasons why I’m not counting on it until it happens.

The second reason is because of the reason why I only got three sections/parts written. It’s a lot harder to write this Short Story than I thought. After all, I only have about a hundred and thirty-three words for each part/section. I’m having a whole lot of trouble keeping that word count down to a hundred and thirty-three words. It can be done, but it has taken me a lot of time to do it. Another reason why I may need to finish it at work.
