What are some things you think about while reading the scriptures?


I think of the promises God made to his people, promises that He has given to those who trust and believe in Him. Sometimes I think of how amazing that God is - how great His love for me and everybody. I am humbled by this. I think of how powerful His words are when combatting the enemy of my soul. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 and James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

It is a gift to have this word that I might store in my heart and read at will to my heart's content.
