A lie for a lie.
I lied when I stated, "Had you not done it, I would not have known, but you did." But it was true that she did it. She couldn't hold it in any longer and started crying. When faced with a choice between telling the truth and continuing to lie, telling the truth is often the more convenient option. That was the day that I parted ways with her so that she could be reunited with my dad, Haven, who lives above.
