365 Days of Blessing _ March 30, 2023

Dear God,
What was new? Jesus, Your Son came, the Bride Groom. He, as the ultimate “Bride Groom,” defines the days of His presence by what He hears from You. There is nothing old in what He hears. The Bride Groom, in touch with Your heart, hears the way the “party” is to go. It is not fasting, or any religious appearances, but power and authority to bring a radical “newness” to everything. Unfettered by the traditions of men, Jesus, the Bride Groom brings the gifts to the celebration. Abundant treasures, healing, forgiveness of sin, deliverance from unclean spirits and transformation power that gives the recipient the will to be godly and righteous. In Jesus the new has come, and nothing that is old will match it, work with it, conform to it, or taste like it. Everything new, requires a new fabric, new containers, new perceptions and a new taste. The old may have been a comfort and a consolation. The new is edgy, life changing and profoundly anti-religion. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Luke 5:36-39

He (Jesus) told them a parable: “No one tears a piece from a new garment and puts it on an old garment. If he does, he will tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old.

And no one puts new wine into old wine skins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.

And no one after drinking old wine desires new for he says, “The old is good.”

I will entreat You, O Lord Most High to show me where I am locked into the old ways. What does my heart desire? A mix of the old and new? The Old? I order my heart, soul and mind to be purely new and produce containment that will keep me from bursting apart in the receiving the newest, outrageous workings of Your Spirit, a "new wine." Come on soul: Throw away the old. Just get a new garment. The Bride Groom is near, be a Bride ready for the feast, the celebration and the joy of a new home, new life, and new everything! Alleluia!
