I have twelve more poems left to write,
six days left, time is tight.
I'll write one about a tarot card
for Tessa's contest, not too hard,
but all the rest? What shall I do?
NaPoWriMo's tough, it's true.

When I started, I had my doubts,
thought I'd write ten or thereabouts,
but here I am with eighteen done -
I already feel like I have won.

I want that badge though, Marci dear,
don't want to wait another year
to have another go at this.
I set my goal, don't want to miss.

Twelve more poems, what to write?
A romantic ode to some white knight?
Something dark, or something fun?
Can't wait until this month is done.
