Shifting political tectonic plates

we seem to be living
in one of those rare periods
in which the political tectonic plates
begin shifting towards a new gray paradigm
but our political discourse is stuck
in the paranoia of the late 50s and 60s
with dark talk of communists, the deep state and fascists
the brave new post-1984 corporate nightmares coming soon
