sights and sounds of rain
Rain can be a cleansing feeling, or it can wash away buildings and trees and people. The sound can be anything from gentle to torrential. It can bring forth the smell of fresh flowers in spring, or the earthiness of a bog in the Everglades. The look of rain may be that of a gentle summer shower, with a rainbow showing itself after; by the same token, it can show devastation with high winds and hail. While I haven't really tasted rain, I have tasted the falling snowflakes of winter, and here in West Texas, it brings to mind dirt and mud - I've seen it rain mud, with a storm coming through after the dust becomes too thick to breathe.

What does rain sound like? What does rain feel like? What does smell like? What does rain look like? What does rain taste like?

This is an exercise in using all five senses to tell a story about rain.
