#36 - Inside Looking Out

I'm on the inside looking out -
Oh, how I hate these four walls;
I want to get back into the swing of things,
And be relevant again.

I try to not be despondent,
I take baby steps,
It just doesn't seem fast enough -
The walls seem to close in.

Taking a walk, immerse myself in reading
And learning new things -
This helps somewhat, but still I am limited;
Patience is not an easy lesson to learn.

One day, I will fly again,
And not be trapped inside -
One day I will be on the outside,
And then I'll be looking in.
