Dear Jayden

Dear Jayden,

As you slumber,
the world of your imagination comes to life.
Dragons soar, roaring,
searing clouds into steam,
copper flames shooting across starlit skies.
Sprinkles of softly glowing fairy dust
beckon you across the grassy ground...
You pity the poor troll lurking
in the darkest corners,
miserable,
misunderstood
and your tender heart extends solidarity.
Waters shining beneath the moon
shelter mermen
and monsters,
lochs filled with legends,
lakes filled with lore.
A quiet bench, a hushed conversation
with Charon and Caladrius...
There's no fear in friendship.
You see possibilities, fantasy
and wonder...
because you believe in magic.

You make me believe in magic too.
