This is a collection of poems told from fictional view points. They are not about me.

Shattered
Hope slithered out the window,
leaving inky prints on the whitewashed sill.
Rage and terror roar in my chest,
the whirling room won’t settle still.

Your whisper treads a tattered path
over the pounding of my heart.
One last request to stab my soul,
one last appeal before we part.

In the darkest shadows creeps death,
hand in hand with fear.
Emptiness, loneliness, hopelessness…
There is no victor here.

Goodbye. Any more is beyond me.
I’m an empty shell of despair.
Goodbye. I am broken. Destroyed.
One more soul beyond repair.
