Honor!

I have to give a big shout-out to my friends Morgan and Joey. Their little restaurant in Roundup, The BackPorch, just got a nomination for the James Beard Awards. Yippee!!!

And for all you foodies out there, you know what an honor it is to be a James Beard nominee or winner.

They had this idea of running a restaurant out of a remodeled motel room, which they did, successfully for several months. Then a building downtown became available to rent. So they took that little idea and transferred it to a bigger space. A space to grow that also has a larger event space as well.

Morgan is also on the SE Montana Tourism board with me. We often ride together to meetings, since some are 3+hours from Roundup. Our conversations often include plans for his motel and his restaurant.

So if you're ever in Roundup, Montana and need a good motel and a good meal, I can hook you up with a few good places!
