Yes, there is romance in the highway,
that line drawn to the horizon,
distance being the drug that seduces the senses,
and constant movement that lulls the mind ,
promising always the unseen elsewhere
and destinations ripe with otherness,
far beyond what’s gone before.
Yes, running away, but running to as well.
