Give or Take a Little

It has been a very good day for me so far when it comes to the Introduction chapter of my novel, Professional Eliminators. I have gotten just over eight hundred words written for the fourth part of this chapter. That leaves only about three hundred words left to finish this chapter give or take a little.

I should be able to finish writing this part of this chapter within the first half of my shift tomorrow at work. Maybe even about a fourth into my shift. After all, today is Veterans Day here in the United States. Most of the country will be off work today. But as a Security Guard, I’m not one of them. I will be working tomorrow.

I’m just not sure how long I will be working. Right now, it looks like I’m going to be working a twelve-hour shift. If that’s true, then the fourth of my shift I write about above may be true. But if I’m only working an eight-hour shift then the first half of my shift will be true. Either way, I will have plenty of time to get started on part five.

Can I get the last part of the Introduction Chapter written for this novel tomorrow? If I have an eight-hour shift, I may get half of it written if I’m lucky. but if it’s a twelve-hour shift I may be able to do it. After all, this is the fifth part. And those parts are more action/adventure than dialogue or clue-getting.

The first and third parts of a chapter are what I call clue-getting. There may be some adventure, maybe even a little bit of action, but it’s mostly clue-getting. May even be some dialogue too. But that’s very little. If there is any at all. Especially, in the first part of a chapter. The third part may have a little more dialogue.

Parts two and four are for Roobic and Maveen. Collina will also be in those parts, and Maveen and Roobic too. But they are mostly what I call dialogue parts. It’s not all dialogue, though. There is some adventure in them. Probably not too much action. At least not the action that part five has. These parts are what I call a connection to the other parts.

What I am trying to write here is that I could get part five of this chapter written tomorrow at work. Especially, if I’m working a twelve-hour shift. Even if it’s only eight hours, I may still be able to do it since it’s part five. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens. It all depends on how long I’m working tomorrow.

Whether it’s tomorrow or early Saturday, I should get this Introduction chapter finished. Then I can start on Chapter One, “All Like that.” I will also be able to post this chapter for the NaNoWriMo challenge in my WDC folder for this novel. Of course, I can’t do that at work. I will need to wait until Monday to do that.
