Just Too Busy Today

Even if I wanted to work on my novel today, I wouldn’t have had the time to do it. That’s how busy it has been today for me. From the time I woke up this morning until I opened this laptop to work on this blog entry, I have been busy doing one thing after another that needed to get done today.

That’s right. This was the first chance that I had to get on this laptop today. That’s how busy it has been today so far. It hasn’t all been about what my brother and I had to do today, though. I have had to get ready for work here in a little less than a couple of hours from now.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not like I haven’t thought about my writing today. Because I have. It just hasn’t been about my novel, Professional Eliminators, yet. I’m going to leave that until I get to work tonight. No, what I am writing about is my WDC Short Story for this month.

It’s true, I haven’t physically written anything about this Short Story other than a title that might change. But I have been thinking about it, though. I’ve had plenty of time to do that today. I just haven’t had enough time to put any of what I want to write into a Short Story yet.

In my mind, I have this WDC Short Story already written. Now all I need to do is write it. Unfortunately, I may not get to that until next Monday. After all, I’m going to be concentrating on my novel while at work. I probably won’t have too much time to work on this Short Story until then.

Of course, I’m going to try to work on this Short Story after work before I go to sleep. But I probably won’t work on it. If I’m lucky, I may get the title description written. Maybe even a paragraph or two about what this Short Story is about that most likely won’t be in this Short Story.

I like to do that with my short stories. Write a paragraph or two about it. It helps me to write my short stories. True, it doesn’t often work that way. After all, it sometimes changes a little bit. Sometimes it changes a lot. But it still helps me to write it.

Parts of these paragraphs may end up being in my short stories. Then again, they are not. They do appear in my short stories. But not word for word like they are in the paragraphs. True, they can appear word for word. It just doesn’t happen too often. If it ever happens at all.
