Is a Christian supposed to be concerned with their reputation?

It is an interesting question...my answer may seem simplistic. I think that we should conduct ourselves in a manner that is representative of whom we follow. It may well be that we may be ridiculed for our belief, which may bruise the ego some; but in the long run, is the better of the alternatives.

The apostles were not so worried about their reputations, only in sharing their love of the Lord with others. They were mocked, ridiculed, and even martyred for standing firm in their convictions. We are who we are...with our flaws and our gifts. Let us give a good accounting of our behavior, and let the reputation be put firmly in the Lord's hands...

Just my thoughts
