Ok to say No? Take Up Your Cross
prompt
Is it right to say, "No!" when someone ask for help? Why or why not?

This can be a bit of a two-edged sword. We want to help people when we can; but I think sometimes there has to be a little discernment when asked for help. Is it going to help the person in the long run? Will it cause a lack in taking care of your obligations? Why are they asking for help? Is the need genuine, or is the need because of foolishness on their part?

It's a shame when you have to take into consideration some things. Some people feel entitled to get whatever they please and do not take others' feelings or needs into consideration. Sometimes the need is genuine, and unforeseen. Life sometimes happens. Just be sure that you are not inadvertently causing more problems by helping out. If you can help, and it is actually help...do so!

Just my two-cents worth.
