November 3rd and 4th Prompts Take Up Your Cross
I think my favorite Bible character is that of King David. His humble beginnings, his honest love for God, in his dancing before the Lord, even his feet of clay, shown in the debacle of Bathsheba. In all of this, he still asked for forgiveness (Psalm 51). God remarked that David was a man after His own heart.

The two scripture verses that I really like is Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

The other verse is John 16:33

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
