Research for My Novel

Unfortunately, I’m about another seventeen hundred words behind on my novel, Professional Eliminators, today too. It hasn’t been a total loss. It’s true, I haven’t written a word about this novel yet. But I will once I get to work tonight. Unfortunately, it looks like I’m going to need to do it the old fashion way right now.

What do I mean by ‘old fashion way?’ It means that I’m going to write this novel by hand, from scratch, at least for this work shift tonight aka tomorrow morning. Not by hand as in pencil and paper, but with my laptop. As for ‘from scratch,’ I mean that right now I’m freewriting it.

Why am I doing it this way right now? It’s because I don’t know if I will be able to do dictation or not to help me write this novel for the fifty-thousand-word challenge for this month. I think that I may be able to do it. I’m just not sure how I’m going to do it or if I can with the speech problem that I have.

That is what I have been trying to do with what little time I had today. Researching on how I can do dictation through Audio Recordings. I haven’t had too much time because of what my brother and I needed to do today and me getting ready to go to work in about an hour from now. But I have had some time, though.

I could have gotten started on this novel with what very little time I had today for writing. But I choice not to do it. Mostly, because I wanted to find out if I could use Audio Recordings to help me with this novel. I also did it because of how much time I had to work on it.

With only a couple of hours to start working on this novel, I decided to do some research instead. And I think that I may be able to use dictation from Audio Recordings to help me with my writing. Once I figure out how I can do it. But I think I have figured that out too. At least I hope I have.

Just because I need to start off my work shift tomorrow morning doesn’t mean I’m going to be doing it the whole shift. I will be doing that if I can’t get my dictation thoughts working. I’ll know that after my first patrol tomorrow morning. That’s when I’m going to try my first Audio recording.

After I get back from that patrol, I will try to put this Audio Recording into my Introduction chapter for this novel. Hopefully, I will be able to do that. If I can, then I will try it again on my second patrol. By the time I get to my second patrol, I should know if I can do it or not.
