Earlier today was even worse than it was yesterday. I know is hard to believe. Unfortunately, it is. That’s because I only got fifteen single paragraphs written for the October Prep Challenge for the novel I’m working on this year for that challenge.

Fifteen single paragraphs from four to six lines per paragraph in a twelve-hour shift equal about eleven hours of writing time. At least that’s what it was for most twelve-hour shifts. Earlier today it was more like about ten and a half hours of writing time.

Why ten and a half hours instead of eleven hours? It’s because it was very hot where I was positioned for the last couple of days at work. The rest of the place I was a guard at was very cool like the AC was on. But not where I’m at most of my shift. Where I do my writing.

The hotness was a big part of the reason why I only got six single paragraphs written on this third Outline for this challenge and only three earlier today. I barely got another three more single-paragraph chapters done after I got home from work.

I tried to get at least six more chapters written for this third Outline after I got home from work today. But I keep nodding off. That was why I only got three more chapters written overall today. I also had some trouble with a lack of concentration both at work and at home.

Really tried to get those six. But I didn’t do it. I don’t know if it was the hotness, or the lack of confidence, or both but I still have nine chapters aka forty-five more single paragraphs to write over the next three days if I won’t get this written by the due date of the twenty-seventh.

Normally, four-to-six-line paragraphs should be a problem for me to write in the next three days. Probably wouldn’t be if I was working. But these three days are my days off from work. Unfortunately, I’m often quite busy during these days. So busy that I don’t get too much writing done.

If I get any writing done during my days off. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of times when I didn’t get any writing done that day. Whether it happened at home or at work, it has happened a lot. Mostly, it has been during my days off. But it has also happened at work too.

Can I get these nine chapters written in the next three days to finish this third Outline for this challenge? Yes, I can. But it might mean one or two all-nighters. And I don’t know if I’m up to that after the last two days at work. Especially, if it means two all-nighters.
