Almost Five Hundred Again

Yesterday, my goal was to get at least five hundred words written on my second Short Story for this month. And once again, that is what I did earlier this morning. Also, once again, I barely got that many written. But that’s okay. As long as I got them written. That’s what counts. After all, that means that this Short Story is halfway finished.

I’m going to continue working on this Short Story when I get to work in just under two hours from now. And I don’t know how many more words I’m going to get written today. But I should be able to get at least another five hundred words written. It should be a whole lot more than that. But if it’s about five hundred again, I will be happy.

I will be even happier if I can get another thousand words written tomorrow. But I doubt that will happen. True, I have around eleven hours of writing that I will be able to do instead of about six. But it is possible for me to do that many words in eleven hours. At least I have done it with half that many the last two days I have worked.

Those five hundred words were done in about six hours of writing. So, there is a very good chance that I can get double that many in eleven hours. Will I be able to do that? I hope that I can. And I think I have a very good chance of doing it. But I’m not going to count on it until it happens.

Don’t think anything will happen at work tomorrow to stop me from writing. But I never now. If something does, it may affect my ability to get as much writing done as I want to get done. I should be able to get at least the five hundred words written. Anything over that is even better. Even if it’s only a little bit over that many.

The more words that I get written tomorrow are the less that I have to write Sunday to finish this Short Story. And the sooner I do that the better. after all, I only have about a week to finish writing this Short Story. I know a week reads like a long time. But I have had things come up to challenge that week in getting a Short Story written or not.

I don’t see any real problems with getting this Short Story written by the end of this weekend. It’s just how soon I can get it done. That’s the real question now. I’m hoping that I can get it all finished tomorrow. But I doubt that I will be able to do that. The best thing that can happen to me is if I can get as close to one thousand words as I possibly can.
