Baha'u'llah, the Lord of Host
Baha'u'llah,
the Lord of Host

Inspired by The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, pages 3-54, Súriy-i-Haykal (Súrih of the Temple)

1

Glorified is the Pen of God.
Glorified is He who speaks
         from the Kingdom of Revelation.
Blessed are the ears that hear His voice,
and blessed are the eyes that read His Words.

2

He is God's living temple;
He speaks with the voice
         of divine power and justice.
Open the book He revealed
and step into the temple of
love and unity.

3

He is the Pen of the All-Mighty!
The Pen of Eternity,
through whom God has revealed
         the verses of unity.

4

He is the symbols of God's Cause
shining resplendent
between the kingdom of revelation and creation.
If you listen carefully
you can hear the song of His reed pen
echoing across the universe.

5

He is the reflection of the Essence of Divinity!
A token of the Almighty,
and the symbol of the All-Bountiful Creator
demonstrating the Grace of God to humanity.

6

He is the manifest light
shedding the splendor of the Day of God
         upon humanity.

7

He is the temple of holiness
that was raised by the decree of God--
         the Creator, the All-Wise.

8

He is the mirror
of divine attributes
to the realms of revelation and creation.

9

He is the living temple
         a sign of God's sovereignty.
