Living Faith

These days and days of living faith
sustain me as the breath
of my saved spirit, His Word saith
with hope beyond my death.

Some days the road is long and rough.
My heart beats hard. I trudge,
but faith is living, and enough.
No sin is left to judge.

The life of godliness, and truth
finds fewer friends each year
because the God I've served from youth
's on the narrow road so dear.

This living faith as eagles wings
will save me from the rocks.
It teaches me to fly, and sing
past the life of daily clocks.

This faith of God will breathe and live
when my last breath is gone.
Eternal life He aye will give
when the New Day gives me dawn.
