May my opinions gather wind under their wings and fly, perchance to soar.

Suffering isn't necessary, but it helps with authenticity.
Blog City Prompt: “If you have no suffering, you have no story to tell.” ~ E.J.Koh, The Magical Language of Others

To Jessica: Agree and disagree with quote.

I think there are plenty of non-suffering stories to be shared. I think of Erma Bombek... There are great stories without tragedy.

That said, much comes out of suffering. It's hard to have empathy otherwise. When I spoke of homelessness, I wrote in present tense from my own experiences.

I'm not convinced that assumptions should be presented as fact. But all memoir is fictionalized memory and sharing fears and assumptions is just that. In fiction, much is presented as absolute fact to make it believable, especially in fantasy and sci-fi.

You have a right to your emotions and your point-of-view, even if others think it's skewed. Don't ever let someone shut you up!

To Elle: "I was blessed to know my mother's parents. It explains a bit who I am. In so many ways, my mother didn't take after them. In so many ways, I did.

To Fathertymme: "Elle mentioned about memoirs and mundane moments. These are the details that I wish I had about former generations. Make sure that there's a hard copy kept somewhere in a safe place. One for each [grand-twin] may suffice. Engraved in stone comes to mind. Got a chisel? Hmm... clay tablets?

We had corn on the cob today with chicken. No fish... Montanans won't eat it. But I will!

Hope you find blueberries... huckleberries are expensive here this year.

Context: I've received mixed comments to my post about anger. Some believe I have a right to rant and are willing to read it; others would rather not. But that's the rub... violence and fantasy are fine at WDC but reality and rage isn't. Violence is a genre. Sex is a personal attack on religious beliefs.

One shit and it's s*** and rated 18+. One fuck and it's XGC... because good Christians never have sex...

But, demeaning who I am or what I've gone through? As long as folks here use 'holy language' it's a-okay. And quoting the violent Old Testament or twisting the NT is just telling the 'Truth'. *Angry*
