Don't Be Afraid

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee
with the right hand of my righteousness."
(Isaiah 41:10, KJV)

Don't be afraid when all seems lost.
The Savior cannot fail.
Don't be afraid when your heart is tossed.
His "Peace" makes smooth the gale.

Don't be afraid. This, too, shall pass
for Christ has purchased you.
Don't be afraid. 'Tis clear as glass
the way He guides you through.

Don't be afraid. Eternal bliss
will be here in a breath.
Don't be afraid. His Joy will miss
all sadness after death.

"Don't be afraid. I'm with you, now.
Don't be dismayed. I am your God.
Don't be afraid. Your strength is my vow.
Don't be dismayed. My Help is quite broad.

"Don't be afraid. I'm holding you up
by My Right Hand, that always does right you may trust."
This God, Who makes children, and calls them to sup
will keep us forever. His Ways are most just.
