Ah, July, that time of the year when publishers go through their slush piles...
In the past week I've had 3 novels rejected, 7 short stories rejected and 1 poem rejected. Not a single acceptance. Maybe my work deserves that title: slush.
Oh well. Keep on keeping on, I guess.
But it certainly does not help the mental health...
