A Little Complicated
A Little Complicated

I had a little bit of a problem when it comes to my second Short Story for this month. It wasn’t anything serious like me needing or wanting to start it all over again. And it wasn’t because I was trying to do it at work. So far, it’s okay for me to use my laptop at work. How long that will last who knows. According to my Site Supervisor there I can use it. At least I think that’s his title. But I could be wrong about that. He may just be the one who trained me.

What I’m trying to say above is that I still didn’t get too much writing done yesterday on this Short Story. I had about four hundred words to write on it. But because I forget to take my mouse with me again, I had to do it all with the laptop touchpad. And that is very time-consuming. Between work and using my touchpad I only got about half of this four hundred written.

I’m still fighting a cold. And the cold is winning so far. That also contributed to why I only got about two hundred words written on this Short Story. I’m very weak and tired most of the time. It doesn’t stop me from working or writing. But it does slow me down some. It’s not that much of a slowdown, though. It’s enough that I still have about two hundred words left before I finish writing this Short Story.

I should be able to get this Short Story done today no matter how I feel and what happens or doesn’t happen to me at work today. The big question is how long is it going to take to do it? I’m hoping that it won’t take any longer than a couple of hours to do. That’s a hundred words an hour. Anyone can write about two paragraphs in an hour, right?

If I can get this Short Story finished in an hour, I have a big decision to make: do I do a Grammarly check on it or do I start work on one of my scriptwriting projects? It will probably be one of my scriptwriting projects. I know that I have internet access at work with this post. But I don’t go online at work. Even if I’m allowed to do it.

I will check my email account and WDC on my cell phone at work every so often. But that’s not the same as going online with my laptop. It’s not that I will be doing anything illegal or questionable, but because I don’t want them to think that I am. After all, I am a man.

Since I can’t or won’t create this Short Story until I get home from work, I might as well not Grammarly check it either. So, I will start working on one of my scriptwriting projects. And it will probably be my Water Wars project. But it could also be The Final Ritual too. I haven’t decided which one it will be yet. Will probably wait until I see how long it takes to finish this Short Story before I decided what I’m going to do next.
