calling bird

Come to me! Keep away!
I call my schizophrenic song
to the world of my bush
where she will come
and we will build a nest
and guard it from snakes
and rats and other males
who want her. Keep away!
I will dive at you and shout
at you, and keep her safe.
Come to me! Come to me!
Keep away!
