20220317 Possible Publication

Okay, quick one.

I've been talking about a new contract.

I can now say it was for the story I wrote for NaNoWriMo in 2021. Yes, the 95k word story I wrote 4 months ago.

The publisher wanted anyone who they had published before (short story to longer work) to submit their NaNo novel once completed so they could see it "raw".

Well... they want to work with me on mine.

I have some concerns about editing without me having edited it and without the benefit of a beta reader, but they are keen to push this huge novel. We'll see how final negotiations go. It's not a done deal yet, but it is in the negotiation phase.

So, for anyone doing NaNo any year - it can be done. 95k words written in 3 weeks last November, 4 months later accepted in principle by a mid-sized publisher.

Fingers crossed that it actually goes well.
