The Crocodile’s Tear

Come my friend, be not alarmed
the day is young, the river charmed,
make time to swim and cool your fear
in water bright, my home is near.

The wonders of the stream I’ll show
as down into the deep we go,
so be assured, for you I’ll weep,
and guard you well while you’re asleep.
